DIE CUTTING
Die Cutting affords the most economical
production method available for most two-dimensional parts.
We cut most every type of rubber and plastic foam, sponge,
solid sheet, diaphragm sheet, cork and rubber compositions,
felt, sound attenuation and vibration control materials,
and many thin plastic films for electrical insulation applications.
Electro-magnetic Insulating and Thermal Insulating materials
are an important part of our large inventoried material
mix.
Die cutting is not just an activity at
Greene. It is a value-added process.
We start by verifying your needs: Before
we cut a material, we first make sure it's right for you.
Does it give you optimum value and performance for the application
at hand? Our strength is in having application knowledge
for rubber, sponge, and foam.
Then we verify your tolerances: Too often
"metal-working" tolerances add unnecessary cost
to an otherwise simple rubber or sponge part.
Finally, we'll explore your hidden concerns:
Can special packaging help? Will marking or adhesive aid
your process? Would parts kiss-cut on a liner for easy pick
and place be best for your final assembly process? What
are your delivery concerns? All shipments are made at an
agreed upon date, plus or minus one day.
The rest is left to the technician. Do
we start with sheet material? Mold a custom compound or
a special thickness? Perhaps we can cut an extrusion to
length? Will we use an ordinary steel rule die? Possibly
a laser die? Water-jet? Or multiple processes?
The right material is combined with the
correct fabrication process, passes through in-process audits
and a final quality inspection. We are a Mil-I-45208 fabricator
and ISO 9001:2000 certified through NQA Cert.# 6811.
Use our die-cutting facilities to get started.
We work from an inventory position. We will cut prototype
pieces. Because we control the means and the tools, we can
help bring your product to market almost instantly.
Our capacity for extended runs is huge.
In some circumstances we are willing to build custom equipment
dedicated to your needs. We realize the true value of a
ten-cent part going into a million dollar market. We do
it right the first time!
