SPLICING & VULCANIZING

  • Splicing is a process in which rubber strips of various cross-sections are bonded together to create a continuous piece.
  • Vulcanizing is a process involving heat and pressure that strengthens the spliced bond.

This method is used to create non-standard O-rings, hollow and solid shaped cross-section gaskets and picture-framed seals.
