TUBING
What is Tubing? Tubing is an extruded, round shape made from rubber, plastic, or metal; usually non-reinforced, but can be obtained with fabric or wire reinforcement for added strength and/or to prevent kinking during a bend. Tubing differs from hose in that hose contains a tube, reinforcement for burst pressure and an outside cover.
There are hundreds of materials and formulation available to suit your specific application. In general, our tubing is either plastic or rubber based. Plastic tubing is made from PVC, polyethylene, polypropylene, PTFE, FEP, PFA, and nylon. Our rubber tubing is made from neoprene, latex, thermoplastic, polyurethane, natural gum rubber, silicone, and fluorocarbon.
After answering these applicable questions, Greene Rubber will be able to supply you with the absolute best tubing for your application.
